Driven (aka LoneWebSurfer) of BoardMod & the YaBB Team, has published a new Y2.3 template called... O-opacity [2.3]. This template is configurable and great looking. Here is a quote from Driven: O-opacity is a very versatile template. it uses .png images to give it a transparency. If you have been to any MySpace pages..then you will have already seen a ton of those layouts done like this.
it allows for any background to be used of any shade! Altho I set it up for a darker theme..with just a few edits of the style sheet..you can easily use a light..even white background!

Cable of BoardMod has released a great, new template for YaBB 2.3 called Emerald Template for YaBB 2.3. Here is a quote from Cable: This is a dark green template that is made to work with YaBB 2.3. Zip file includes a text file of instructions, a style sheet (.css file), and a folder of graphics. This is based on LoneWebSurfer's Black template for YaBB 2.2. Thanks to LWS for help with the tab menu graphics.

Corey Chapman, CEO of XIMinc and YaBB Project Leader, has announced that cPanel Installer Updates to 2.3 Now. Here is a reprint of Corey's announcement: cPanel has updated their installer for YaBB to YaBB 2.3.
Upgrades from previous installations through cPanel should be seamless. You must wait for your web host to upgrade to the latest version of the addon or cPanel for the upgrade/installer for 2.3 to appear.
cPanel is showing their love for Perl by supporting YaBB as the recommended forum system (BBS) and creating an installer within cPanel. Information on cPanel can be found at http://www.cpanel.net.
